Cochrane Centre

NHS influencers may wish to note that patients will soon be able to access the Cochrane Library and Clinical Evidence (published by the British Medical Journal) through the expanding National electronic Library for Health (NeLH). The Cochrane Library is a regularly updated collection of evidence-based medicine databases and something that all NHS influencers should be familiar with. The data is extracted from various other databases by systematic review and critical appraisal and there are Cochrane review groups in most clinical areas.

The Cochrane Library is based in Oxford. Clinical Evidence is a publication that provides a concise account of what is known about the prevention and treatment of a wide range of conditions.
